Next generation low carbon, climate resilient Eco-Village Development in South Asia
CRT/N will be responsible for overall implementation of project activities in Nepal. The proposed local organization will support mainly local level advocacy activities and coordination with local government. Networking activities on local, provincial and national level in Nepal, documentation and case studies, research work, and EVD solution installation will be done under direct supervision of CRT/N through its partners. Renewable Energy and Service Center located in Nepal CIVIL SOCIETY FUND, Development Intervention, revised January 2019 10 will be technical partner for CRTN and, therefore, it will help in EVD solutions’ installation and repair and maintenance training. In the project village, for active participation and monitoring and evaluation of project activities, a project beneficiary committee will be registered. This committee will assist local partners and local government representatives and CRT/N to monitor and evaluate the project impact.

Project Objective:
The overall objective of the intervention is to achieve an improved standard of living of climate vulnerable rural communities in South Asia by integration of local sustainable solutions that contribute to climate change mitigation, adaptation and resilience building. The immediate or specific objectives are as follows.
- To improve the livelihood of project rural communities through the establishment of Eco-Village Development (EVD) model villages in all partner countries including Nepal.
- To enhance additional market access and business opportunity to appropriate solutions contributing to improved livelihood, climate change mitigation and adaptation for the project local communities and stakeholders.
- To disseminate EVD concept as low carbon local development solution such that EVD is recognized by a broader audience reaching from local to national and finally to the international level.

A part of our dissemination strategy is to share our experiences and methodologies with other CSOs via seminars/webinars and network meetings and have them replicating the activities in their own programs or projects. A specific number of how many will be affected is now too early to say. But we will monitor this as well. |
