WEE-Nepal in Asia Clean Energy Forum 2015

Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) 2015 started in Manila, Philippines from 15-19 June 2015 with Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) Consultation workshop on 14 June 2015. Lachana Shresthacharya represents Centre for Rural Technology, Nepal (CRT/N), ENERGIA's partner on Women Economic Empowerment and Advocacy Project (WEE-Nepal). Lachana, CRT/N was a part of case study session moderated by Soma Dutta, ENERGIA where Nepal's supportive policies in enhancing access to energy, mainly for women and children was highlighted. The cases will be documented for replication of good practices. On 15 June 2015, Lachana presented in a deep dive session on approaches to scaling access to energy through gender sensitive approaches about current practices and business model on improved cookstoves and new approach to promote improve cookstoves and women stove entrepreneurs practiced under women economic empowerment project in Nepal.

Women Economic Empowerment (WEE-Nepal project) is jointly implemented by Centre for Rural Technology, Nepal (CRT/N), National Association of Community Electricity Users Nepal (NACEUN) and Practical Action Consulting (PAC Nepal).
