Technical Support Unit(TSU)
Technical support unit is a branch of CRT/N established to provide technical support services to various GOs/NGOs/INGOs/CBOs and other institutions on various renewable energy technologies for technology transfer and resource development. Following are the services provided by the unit:
- Orientation and Demonstration
TSU is committed to developing awareness on the uses of various appropriate technologies both in the urban and rural areas of the country. In this regard, TSU regularly organizes orientation and development activities to disseminate information on the uses and benefits of various technologies.
- Conducting Studies, Surveys and
Impact Assessments
TSU carries out studies, surveys and assessment for relevant organizations on various rural appropriate technology promotion, modification (R&D) and dissemination programs.
- Training and Capacity Building
The major aim of this unit is to disseminate information
and build capacity of various other organizations on various
rural technologies. In this regard, TSU provides following
training and capacity building activities:
- Training on Improved Cookstove Construction and Kitchen
Improvement
- Training on Bee hive Briquette Construction and Promotion
in Rural Community
- Training on Construction of Solar Dryer for Food Processing
through Solar Dryer
- Training on Drip Irrigation for Micro Irrigation and
Agricultural Production
- Improved Water Mill Installation and Training on its
Operation for Grinding, Rice Hulling and Electricity Generation
- Family Hydro Installation for Electricity Generation
Besides this the unit provides other services such as
- Gasification for domestic and institutional cooking purposes
- Installation of Rainwater Harvesting
System
- Organizing Demonstration on Various
Technologies for Information Dissemination
